Blessings July 11, 2007

Wow! The past 12 months or so have been such a whirlwind for me. Looking back on it, it amazing just how many blessings God has given me over this period of time. I told somebody the other day that I’ve had so many congratulatory remarks over the past year – and so many things that I’m thankful for – that I often have to ask what someone is congratulating me for. Anyway, here’s a list of some of my recent blessings. I want to praise God for these blessings!
- Baby Matthew – July 4, 2007
- First 5k run
- First half marathon
- First triathlon
- New job
- Promotion (after 8 months on new job)
- Passed the Alabama State Bar
- Lots of spiritual growth
- Family and friends
I’m glad to hear that you’re thankful. You should appreciate your blessings and count them daily. I have seen some bad things happen to good people lately and it has opened my eyes to what a wonderful life I have. I’ve also recognized that those people were in our position just days or weeks prior to some live-changing events. Hopefully we’ll never have to confront such issues, but we likely will have to at some point in our lives. My hope is that even if our fortunes happen to reverse, that we’ll look back on these times and thank God for them. Here’s to more good times!
